Hands On Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the assessment and manipulation of the soft tissues of the body (muscles, tendons, ligaments) in order to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Swedish massage techniques and other advanced techniques are used to treat the following (and more) types of soft tissue conditions:

Muscle tension and Stress
Tension and Migraine Headaches
Sports Injuries
Work / Repetitive Motion Injuries
Neck and Back pain / Injuries
Auto Injuries / Whiplash
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Fibromyalgia
On their first visit, clients can expect to spend a few minutes discussing their concerns with their therapist. Depending on the extent of the client’s injuries, the therapist may perform a series of tests on them. The therapist will then allow the client time to get undressed and get set up on the massage table, under the privacy of a sheet and/or a blanket. The rest of the session is devoted to the actual massage itself. Massage sessions may last a half hour, one hour or one-and-a-half hours in duration. A client may also be instructed to perform stretches or exercises at home to help maintain the progress made during the massage treatments.
